Meet our Directors
Jeff Bogue
A Florida Native, Jeffry Bogue graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree in Choral Music Education from the College of Music at Florida State University. Jeff is in his 18th year of teaching chorus at Newsome High School in Lithia, Florida. Mr. Bogue has served as a guest clinician in Hillsborough, Pasco, Clay, and Manatee counties. Actively involved in various performing groups around the Tampa area, he is also a member of the Florida Music Educators Association, American Choral Directors Association, as well as the Florida Vocal Association where he has served as the District 7 Chairman. Jeff also serves as a judge for choral and solo and ensemble performances. Under his direction, choirs have performed at festivals throughout the United States and have consistently received top awards and honors. Jeff has led his choirs to perform in venues in Ireland, Great Britain, Austria, and Germany.
Miranda Goodwin
Miranda Goodwin, originally from Dallas, Texas, moved to Florida to pursue a bachelor's degree in Choral Music Education from the College of Music at Florida State University. After graduating, Miranda began teaching at Orange Grove Middle Magnet School of the Arts in Ybor, Florida. For the next four years, her choirs received top performance ratings in Hillsborough County at festivals and assessments. Miranda has been an active member of the Festival Singers of Florida which has toured Africa, China, Indonesia, and Kenya. Miranda is also a member of the Florida Music Educators Association, American Choral Directors Association, and the Florida Vocal Association. Miranda led the Newsome Chorus on their performance tour in Germany and Austria and is entering her fifth year at Newsome!
